Fully Utilise The Space In Your Home

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

Fully Utilise The Space In Your Home Summer is the perfect time for taking on those bigger home improvement projects including that long awaited loft conversion.

Loft conversions are one of the most cost effective ways to gain extra space in the home - whether it’s that guest bedroom you’ve always wanted, making room for your family to grow, or simply creating a relaxing haven to get away from it all.

Home offices are also becoming a prominent domestic feature and transforming the loft, means your work won’t spill out on to your dining room table or interfere with family life.

So, if you are planning a loft conversion this year, Easy Heat’s Managing Director, David Garrity, explains how its unique range of electric water filled radiators, will enable you to make maximum use of your new living space, while keeping those all important installation and running costs to a minimum:

  • Installing a new heating system in a room can be an expensive, messy and time consuming job. That’s why our unique range of electric water filled radiators is designed to be quick and simple to fit, enabling homeowners to install the system themselves in minutes without hiring a plumber or an electrician.
  • Although each radiator looks like one found in a conventional central heating system, it contains its own internal mini boiler, water and pump, thereby eliminating the need to install pipework to attach it to an existing boiler. Simply fix the brackets supplied to the wall, hang the radiator on them and plug it into any standard 13amp socket for instant heat at the flick of a switch!
  • As the radiators can be fitted anywhere there is access to a plug socket, you have complete flexibility in terms of room layout.
  • You can also decorate the room prior to fitting a radiator thus eliminating the tricky task of painting behind it. If you decide to re-decorate in the years to come simply unhook the radiator from its brackets to remove it.
  • Each radiator offers precision heating control for the room in which it is installed:
  • If used as a guest room, visitors can adjust the temperature to suit their particular needs, without affecting the heating in the rest of the home.
  • If used as a home office, you can choose to heat that room alone – as opposed to a standard heating system, when all the radiators in a property would have to come on.
  • Finally, if used as a nursery, you can rest assured that the room is at the perfect temperature for a baby or small child.
  • The system can also be turned off when not in use, or during the warmer months without causing harm or damage. It also requires no annual service or maintenance thereby reducing running costs still further.

Easy Heat radiators are available in 14 different sizes with prices starting at £389 per radiator.

Picture Perfect Radiator - Valor Hydroflame

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

Picture Perfect Radiator - Valor Hydroflame Hydroflame™ is the new word in designer radiators - the best of two worlds with all the benefits of a radiator and an electric inset fire, combined to create a cost effective, highly efficient real fire effect feature.

It used to be said that there was nothing like a real fire – there is now. The vast majority of modern homes have a central heating system, which uses panel radiators, but although these provide efficient heat emission, most fail to satisfy the homeowner’s desire for a feature point in main living rooms.

The Hydroflame can do both; with a standard electric inset fire and a fan convector combined; it incorporates Valor Dimension cutting edge technology, to create a ‘real fire effect’.

  • Like a radiator, Hydroflame works off the wet central heating system, while its flame effect can be run independently to give its comforting glow year round. It can also be used to provide localised electric heat in unseasonable cold spells.
  • Hot water from the central heating system flows through the Hydroflame’s heat exchanger, which transfers heat to aluminium fins.
  • Cooler air is drawn in at floor level, passes over the heat exchanger and then is expelled gently back into the room, providing a more even room temperature, while heating the room in less time than a traditional radiator.
  • Hydroflame products use only 5% of the water content of an equivalent output radiator, saving energy – in fact, independent tests* have shown that fan convectors consume 25% less energy than radiators.
  • Hydroflame requires a connection to a wet central heating system and an electrical connection to run the flame effect and the fan convector, but no direct gas supply, making it one of the most versatile room heating options on the market.

Benefits for all.
Hydroflame is an excellent choice; it is easy to operate, with rocker switches, which are ideal for the elderly and infirm; and ultra safe, with no naked flames or hot surfaces to harm small children.

In addition, the Hydroflame features a boost element, which in the event of a boiler failure, overrides the central heating system and makes use of the electric connection to provide a heat source to the home.

The Dream Dimension fire front is a classic fire design available in a range of finishes; Chrome, Black, Gold to suit any living space

Priced around £524.10 incl VAT.
* Independent tests carried out by BSRIA

3 Simple Ways To Achieve More Radiator Efficiency

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

3 Simple Ways To Achieve More Radiator Efficiency One of our biggest household expenditures during the winter months is central heating and with the threat of a forthcoming gas shortage, there are simple methods available to get the most from our radiators and also enable us to use less energy.

The Radiator Booster - Pictured here, will heat your room faster, save energy and reduce your heating bills.

Simply place a Radiator Booster on the top of a standard domestic water filled radiator, plug it in, and away it goes.

This ingenious and unique UK Registered design uses miniature 12-volt electric fans to suck the heated air from behind the radiator, firing it into your room far quicker than any natural convection; in addition it reduces the heat loss through the wall behind your radiator. £19.99 each.

Radiator Panels - Fitted to the wall behind the radiator, make use of the heat that conventional radiators waste, by reflecting the heat being radiated to the wall and bouncing it back into the room, saving up to 20% off your heating bills. Priced from £14.99 per pack.

Alladdin Radiator Valves – Easily fitted to your radiator and continuously bleed it automatically; they ensure that the radiator is always performing as efficiently as possible, by removing the trapped air.
Saves energy and reduces fuel bills, by keeping radiators air-free and hot to the top! £9.99 each.

Please visit the Green stamp website where these energy saving products are available for purchase.

Easy Heat Introduces a Heating Revolution!

Saturday, September 19th, 2009

Easy Heat Introduces a Heating Revolution Are you happy with your heating?

For many homeowners the story is one of cold spots, overheating and rising energy bills, at a time when every penny counts.
But what are the alternatives to traditional central heating?

Recognising the limitations of a conventional boiler fed system – including heat loss through pipework and issues about when and where heat is delivered – leading electric heating manufacturer, Easy Heat, has transformed the iconic double panelled radiator into a 100% efficient and effective heating solution:

  • While each unit may look like a standard radiator, no central boiler is required, so you don’t need any pipework. Instead, each radiator houses its own boiler and pump to create a mini central heating system.
  • Installed in minutes, each radiator is simply hung on brackets (supplied) that are fitted to the wall and then plugged into any standard 13 amp socket.
  • To avoid energy wastage, a range of controls is available, enabling homeowners to manage the heat provided for an individual room, zone or whole house basis.
  • A built in thermostat in each radiator, means it will only activate if the room is not at the desired temperature and cease drawing electricity immediately this is achieved; So, heat is only ever delivered when and where it’s needed, ensuring every £1 spent on electricity is turned into usable heat. the 24 hour timer model, offers precision heating throughout the day and, like all models in the Easy Heat range, can be switched off when not in use.
  • Meanwhile, the radio frequency controller enables a group of radiators to be programmed to start together, as in a standard central heating system. Two or more controllers can also be used to create specific heating zones – for example upstairs and downstairs – so that the provision of heat, can be tailored to the precise needs of those living in the property and efficiently reflect changing room usage throughout the day.

The system can be used in conjunction with the Economy 10 tariff, which provides reduced price electricity between the hours of 12am – 5am, 1pm – 4pm and 8pm – 10pm.

The system has the additional benefit of requiring no annual service, so there are no maintenance costs incurred.

Easy to fit and easy to use, the Easy Heat range is available in 14 different sizes and prices start at £373.64 per radiator.
