New Slimline Richmond ‘TV Fireplace’ Launched

Wednesday, April 20th, 2011

New Slimline Richmond The newRichmond  slimline ‘TV Fireplace’ has been introduced by Picture House TV Furniture, providing a great way to hide your TV.

The elegant fully functioning new fireplace hides the TV inside:

  • The TV automatically lifts to viewing height when the remote is pressed; press it again and it magically disappears and the television switches off automatically to save power.
  • The fireplace, which emits 2kW of heat, has a small footprint making it a perfect choice if space is restricted and there are no messy wires and cables, as they are all hidden from view. It will accept TVs up to 52in.
  • Picture House’s ‘TV Fireplaces’ are environmentally friendly, as the TV is turned off when not in use and automatically turns on when it’s raised up. Since the TV is not on standby it doesn’t use any power unless it is being watched, thereby reducing the household power consumption.
  • Other new designs in the Picture House portfolio include, the Corvado, the Havana and the Valenza.

Award-winning inventor and furniture designer David Free, who runs Picture House TV Furniture and presents “The Great British Woodshop” on Discovery Shed says: “My living room looked soulless with this big black box on the wall - so I came up with this idea of concealing the TV inside a working fireplace - which creates one focal point for the room.”A choice of different electric flame effect fires suitable for the fireplace is available. Prices start from £3,000.

Return Of The Classic Furniture Collections

Wednesday, March 16th, 2011

Return Of The Classic Furniture Collections As colour and traditional design enjoy a comeback in the home, one of the most iconic names in British furniture has launched a range of classically-styled living, dining and bedroom collections.

The Classic Collections by G Plan Cabinets are aimed at on-trend homeowners, making the switch from neutrals and no-frills furniture to a richer, more interesting interior.

Inspired by famous artists, G Plan’s new Classic Collections take the famous furniture brand back to its roots of timeless design and quality detail, with the Matisse and Gainsborough living and dining ranges and the Monet and Heritage bedroom ranges

Matisse (featured here.)
Inspired by the French artist, the chic French lines and proportions of Matisse go hand-in-hand with the warm cherry finish. A range of special features are testament to skilled craftsmanship including smoothly expanding dining tables, a velvet lined cutlery tray and the option of subtle down lighting in glass fronted cabinets.

  • The comprehensive collection includes a large, three-door display cabinet, two-door display unit, corner display, small and large sideboard and choice of circular or D-end extendable dining tables, a traditional writing desk, plus several occasional pieces.
  • Prices are around £1,249 for the large sideboard; £2,445 for the circular dining table and four pad back chairs; and £499 for the coffee table.

Gainsborough

  • The Georgian roots of Gainsborough create true classic style with a deep mahogany finish. Each piece is carefully crafted with soft curved edges and the tables feature turned single and double pedestals for that elegant touch.
  • Prices start at around £1,125 for the corner display cabinet; £625 for the bookcase and £565 for the console table.

Monet

  • A sister collection to the Matisse living and dining range, the Monet Bedroom is, like the 19th century French artist, set to make an impression. A lustrous cherry finish gives the 11-piece collection instant impact, while taking centre stage is a beautifully carved sleigh bed.
  • Average retail prices will be around £1499 for the three-door robe to £625 for the dressing table.

Heritage

  • The new Heritage bedroom collection is an addition to the already successful Heritage living and dining range. Created to let the natural beauty of the wood speak for itself, the range is made from French style oak with a unique patina in the grain.
  • Prices start at around £749 for the bed; £999 for the two door wardrobe and £249 for the bedside cabinet.

Individual Rack The Perfect Home Cinema Solution

Sunday, April 4th, 2010

Individual Rack The Perfect Home Cinema Solution Exclusive solutions have always enjoyed a high status at Loewe. This also applies to room integration for Loewe’s Home Cinema systems.

The Loewe Individual Rack, designed by Loewe, is the ideal partner for the Loewe product range – whether combined with a flat-screen television from the Art, Connect or Individual product lines, or one of the numerous system components:

For example, the various speakers, subwoofers or playback devices, such as the AudioVision audio system with integrated DVD player, or the BluTech Vision Interactive Blu-ray player.
The necessary cables can be optimally hidden in the Rack.

Following its successful presentation at the IFA 2009, the first two models are now being launched on the market.

Perfect room integration.

  • The Individual Rack 110.30 stands out through its internal values.
  • With a gentle push, the front cover opens up to unveil a high-quality drawer element, which stretches across the entire width of the rack.
  • The lower section of the drawer makes room for archiving personal film or music collections, while the two upper shelves can house peripherals such as Loewe AudioVision and Loewe BluTech Vision Interactive.
  • The best part is that the peripherals can be connected to the television set mounted on the rack, in such a way that all annoying cables remain hidden from view.
  • The AudioVision system, the new Loewe Blu-ray player and the Loewe TV set in the system, can all be operated using just one remote control. With Digital Link HD-enabled televisions, this is even possible when the rack is closed.
  • The best partners for the Individual Rack 110.30 (width 110 cm) are Loewe televisions from the Art and Connect lines in screen sizes of 32 to 42 inches.

Home Cinema convenience.

  • The Individual Rack 165.30 offers even more convenience.
  • Behind the front flap, which runs along the entire width of the rack (165 cm), there is space not only for Blu-Ray discs, DVDs and CDs, but also for various Loewe peripherals.
  • The Rack is therefore ideally equipped for the integration of the Individual Sound Subwoofer, for example.
  • In this way, together with the Loewe Audio system and the Loewe Blu-Ray player, the key playback and sound components in the Home Cinema system find an ideal home.
  • They can also be operated when hidden from view, using just one remote control via the Digital Link HD-enabled Loewe television.
  • Incidentally, the Loewe remote control can be stored elegantly behind the front flap, in the drawer lined with high-quality felt, making annoying searches for the remote control a thing of the past.
  • The Individual Rack 165.30 is particularly suitable for Loewe Individual flat-screen sets with a screen diagonal of 32 to 46 inches.

Both Rack models, Individual Rack 110.30 and Individual Rack 165.30, with their minimalist design, are available from retailers now, in the following colour options: Chrome Silver, High Gloss Black and High Gloss White.

For more information visit the Loewe website.
