  • Using the same mechanism as the hugely successful M&S Monroe TV bed, the Sonoma unit plugs into a mains powered wall socket and can be controlled both manually, with a switch on the side of the unit, or by remote control.
  • Made from solid American oak, the unit can house a TV up to 40inches wide and can lift a load of up to 100kgs.
  • With all this genius and style for just £1399, customers can now buy into the dual living-space trend set to expand over the next decade.

Interior Addict’s Iconic Arne Jacobsen Chairs

Monday, July 13th, 2009

Interior Addict’s Iconic Arne Jacobsen Chair The Interior Addict team are inviting all lounge lizards to try out their iconic Arne Jacobson Swan Chair.

As an architect and an industrial designer, Jacobsen made it his mission to create graceful, elegant and timeless pieces; he was to become the single most influential and admired Danish architect of the 20th century, with such contemporary classics as the Swan, Egg and Ant Chairs.

In 1958 the Swan was a technologically innovative chair. It had no straight lines - only curves. The Swan, Egg and Swan Sofa were designed for the lobby and lounge areas in the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen.

The Interior Addict team declare that their high-quality production of Arne Jacobsen’s Swan Chair is the epitome of classic 20th century design.

The Swan Chair’s organic, continuously curved form is constructed using a rigid foam shell, which is upholstered in either a cotton mix or semi aniline top grade Italian leather.

Available in 13 different colours, the Arne Jacobsen Swan Sofa pictured here, is constructed and upholstered in the same way as the chairs and is supported by a four-star aluminium swivel base.

This is your chance to own a modern classic reproduction at a very reasonable price.
Dimensions: Width 144cm * Depth 69cm * Height 78cm.

Priced at £899.

Mix And Match Your Way Through The Credit Crunch

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

Mix And Match Your Way Through The Credit CrunchExpert advice from Rowena Howell, Marketing Manager at Halo Living:

There was a time when people bought furniture in sets –sofas with matching occasional chairs and identical end tables holding twin lamps.

The credit crunch has affected the interior trends in a positive way – encouraging us to put personality and life back into our home, instead of aspiring to create the catalogue look.

Mixing and matching everything from furniture to fabrics enables us to create eclectic room settings over time. Here are my tops tips for mixing and matching in the home:

Unlike other materials, leather actually improves with age making it a great long term investment; why not pair your leather sofa with summer colours to brighten the room, or add another classic pattern to complement such as tartan?

Play with patterns, if your staple cream sofa is the ‘jeans’ of your outfit than accessorize with patterns. Bold stripes in varied fabrics are an exciting way to develop more of a statement around plain furniture.

While new colours are always great, don’t forget about bringing in highly textured fabrics and varying shapes. Try accent cushions that come in oblong or round forms as a compliment to the traditional square shape.

Featured here is the Hastings Love Seat - Vintage Cigar & Accentuate Moss:

A combination in rich tones of Vintage Cigar Leather and a new fabric called “Accentuate Moss”. Available in choice of scatter back or traditional formal back cushions. A lovely sit that’s a soft, warm classic style. Priced at £999.

Think about why you choose the furniture you have in your home – do you really need a three piece suite? Why not go for a large foot stool, corner sofa and statement chair – be daring and have fun trying new things out!

Halo Living offers a complete range of Beautifully Real furniture and accessories, sourced from around the world.
