Custom made rocking chair from Angus RossThis deceptively simple rocking chair by Scottish custom furniture designer/maker Angus Ross combines traditional furniture making techniques with elegant contemporary design.

He uses many traditional techniques in the manufacturing process - including laminating, steam bending and carving. An exceptional oil finish completes the effect to create an effective small rocking chair which is at home in most interiors.

Angus Ross designs and makes his custom furniture to order, and private commissions are accepted from all over the UK. He also has many notable public commissions, including seating for Scarborough Art Gallery, and specialist display cases for Cheltenham Museum.

The picture shows the rocking chair in oak, which costs £800 plus VAT.
