Villeroy & Boch Launches Exotic Samarah Tableware
Friday, November 21st, 2008
Villeroy & Boch has launched Samarah tableware, a stylish exotic pattern, which embodies myth, magic and modernity.
This new collection offers an original interpretation of India’s most glamorous aspects, drawing on the vibrancy, opulence and luxury of Eastern architecture.
The extension of the popular NewWave Premium shape available in ivory, turquoise and crimson, resembles henna paintings and is elegantly embellished with gold floral motifs, paisley prints and geometric patterns.
Crafted in bone china, Samarah’s calm and subtle ivory tones sets off the pattern, whilst the layers of gold lend an unusual surface texture, for a luxuriously elegant effect.
Typically Indian patterns such as paisley motifs, borrowed from elegant cashmere scarves of the English colonial era and a fine, delicate contour, reminiscent of Mehndi, feature heavily.
In addition to the delicate ivory range, Villeroy & Boch has also introduced two boldly coloured-patterns, Samarah Turquoise and Samarah Purpur.
These vibrant designs in brilliant blue and deep crimson, are excellent as stand alone pieces, or can be used to add colour to the main collection.
Prices:
Samarah tea cup and saucer £63.90.
Samarah Purpur buffet plate £125.00.
Samarah Turquoise tray stand £246.00.

Monochrome continues to be a huge trend for modern bathrooms, with interior designers and style-conscious consumers looking to add interest to a neutral colour palette and recreate fashion-inspired trends seen on the catwalk.
Rainer Moll, the renowned German designer, has produced an innovative collection for Villeroy & Boch, designed specifically for those in the prime of their lives.
Villeroy & Boch offers a delightful range of festive decorations and tableware to adorn the home in a sophisticated and elegant style this Christmas.
A relaxing soak in a beautiful bathtub is hard to beat, but the design and visual appeal of a bath can easily be spoiled with invasive features, such as metal or plastic bath jets.
The latest trend for modern interiors is the lavish “groom room”; a multifunctional but luxurious space, which is a pampering zone, fitness area and dressing room all rolled into one.
Following the ongoing success of NewWave tableware, Villeroy & Boch has launched NewWave Ethno, a fun collection decorated with a contemporary pattern of freestyle circles and loops.
The Squaro Bath from Villeroy & Boch has been made to perfectly complement their Memento range of bathroom sinks and furniture. It follows the same design as the Memento sinks and so has the same calm and minimalist style.
The Memento Bathroom Collection from Villeroy & Boch allows you to create a relaxing bathroom environment with simple stylistic forms - a perfect antidote to the constant flood of information and sensory overload of today’s world.
