Choosing fire doors for prestigious new homes and refurbishment projects, including period and listed properties, can pose significant problems.
Having selected elegantly designed and finely crafted wooden doors throughout, sympathetic to the architecture of the building, the overall aesthetics are often then compromised with the requirement for fire doors, which rarely match in design or construction methods.
However, Acorn Doors offers a solution with its traditional and contemporary styled, wooden, panelled fire doors; these are traditionally made using mortice and tenon joints in prime European timber and ensure a perfect match with any original and non fire doors throughout a residence.
Acorn Doors offers a range of more than 15 internal, panelled fire door sets made from 45mm solid wood, with specially engineered panels, which are all BS476 Part 22 accredited.
Each fire door set comprises the door itself, with the correct intumescent seal and interdens card with three Grade 13 hinges.
There are glazed options available and all doors are made to measure, which is invaluable with period properties, or contemporary homes with non-standard door sizes.
The company also offers bespoke fire doors based on their certified, panelled fire door construction.
