Menu, the design company has introduced a new oil lamp series called Lighthouse, which features a newly developed oil burner that really lights up the night with an intensified flame.

Christian Bjørn took inspiration for his new table lamp range from the Scandinavian summer twilight, contrasting the gentle forms of the white porcelain with the intense, vibrant light; The Scandinavian coast has a rich supply of lighthouses to show the way in the night.

The effective Lighthouse oil lamps evoke pictures of people on voyages and stories of far-flung places and create an ambience that can be useful outdoors all year round.

Lighthouse oil lamps are made with porcelain, aluminum and synthetic materials and come in four sizes, 22 cm, 35 cm, 50 cm and 65 cm respectively.

Also in the range are two small tea light hurricane lamps 7.5 cm and 12 cm and a heater, which casts its light over the table at the same time as keeping the tea or food warm.

Furthermore, the new oil lamps have a unique filling system to allow filling the oil from above, so there’s no need to take the lamp apart.

Prices range from £15.95 for a small hurricane to £109 for the large oil lamp.

“This oil lamp doesn’t burn with just a little flame, it burns like a fantastic bonfire!” exclaims the designer Christian Bjørn.

Louis Poulsen Lighting now offers its Collage home lighting design in two new colours, vivid Lemon Yellow and Juicy Orange.

The colours are vigorous and bright, stirring a reminiscence of spring and summer and suited to a wide range of interiors, where designers are looking to use colours to convey excitement and energy.
 
Louise Campbell found inspiration in nature, when she created Collage arising from the image of the sun’s rays finding their way through tree foliage, leaving a shimmering trace of light and shadow.

Collage met with an especially positive reception in the market when it was launched, in Snow White, Hotlips (pink), Heavenly Blue, Spring Green and Smoke Screen.
 
The product is available in the new colours as both pendant and floor variants; the shades are made from laser-cut acrylic and the suspension from naturally anodised aluminium.
 
Except for Snow White, the coloured Collage fixtures are hand-mixed, so they are only produced in small lots and only available to order, which means delivery times will be longer than usual. The fixtures have their own unique identity numbers and come with a 4-metre cable.

Luna Lights have evolved out of a personal search to fuse the cool clean lines of modern design with a need for warmth and sparkle.

Designer maker Anna Perring has created a unique range of evocative and sparkling lights that are highly desirable and make wonderful gifts.

Anna explains her inspiration as a balancing act between the head and the heart: ‘My head wants a clutter free clear space to think in, my heart wants something softer and more fanciful and my aim was to craft unique ceramic lights for creative individuals.

We want our lights to be uplifting and make people smile. The patterns of light they scatter across a room have the quality of fairy lights and fireflies, which provided me with the magical kick-start to this lighting project.’
