Go Back In Time For Kids’ Gifts At Past Times
Everyone’s getting in on the act this year, but kids’ gifts at Past Times have always been of the old fashioned sort – so why not go back in time?
Replace the sound-assault of computer games, with the old fashioned clack of traditional wooden board games like backgammon, chess, cribbage and table football, from £10 to £18, the ‘Whooooo’ of the wooden train whistle at £2 and the hum of the spinning top at £10.
Little girls will love the wooden knitting dolls and skipping ropes, ’fairyphernalia’ and Beatrix Potter books and soft toys, while the retro space hopper and pogo stick, will have everyone bouncing around the room.

Royal Copenhagen’s Homage To Human Anatomy
Royal Copenhagen is launching four new figurines by Pia Langelund, which pay homage to human beauty and the curves of the body – a male and a female bust, a recumbent man on a pedestal and a kneeling woman on a pedestal, in white and black porcelain.
“Pia Langelund has a supreme sense for what is beautiful in a perfect human body and the human profile. She knows how to transform our love for entrancing curves and long lines, into sculptures that render it completely legitimate to cultivate and appreciate a perfect anatomy,†explains Niels Bastrup, Royal Copenhagen’s Creative Director.
Pia’s figurines for Royal Copenhagen increase the limits of how porcelain figurines are normally perceived, so that they cross the boundary from knick-knacks to home décor – she has mastered the difficult art of capturing muscles at work and the way in which the body radiates the object’s posture, in her sculptures.
