Lalique has introduced Tempting Crystal – a striking new Spring/Summer 2008 collection.
The collection features a mix of crystal masterpieces, including vases, bowls, figurines, lamps and candlesticks, all created in a remarkable combination of clear and black crystal.
Many of the pieces from the collection feature delicate brambles and thorn detail, enticing you to touch with their lengthy branches and sharp edges.
Unlike many other colours, lilac is a colour you have to take a stance on and it also makes a statement in relation to its surroundings.
Moving Lin Utzon’s new lilac Filigran vase around the home, you will see how it makes its mark on each setting, adding brightness to the situation; not only as an ornament, but also as a colour that gives character and warmth.
However, there’s more to this Filigran vase than being lilac; the skilful designer has retained the transparent glass base of the vase, giving it a striking lightness that contrasts with the vase’s generous capacity.
Inspired by the gossamer lace curtains in Karen Blixen’s home Rungstedlund, Lin Utzon has created a pretty glass vase and votive with a matt silver motif.
The name Tanne is derived from the writer’s nickname, and the range combines simplicity and elegance – just as we would expect from Karen Blixen’s sure sense of style.
Rosendahl is the official sponsor of the Karen Blixen Museum and for every piece of Karen Blixen’s Christmas sold, a donation is made towards new exhibitions at the Rungstedlund museum.
Eternally contemporary, Lalique artworks have always decorated the most prestigious places.
The Lalique 2007 Autumn Winter collection, Neolalique, is both imposing and stylish, marrying the contemporary trends of the 21st century with an exceptional design heritage
This stunning collection combines the sensuality of black with the nobility of gold – harmoniously united with Lalique’s pure crystal, to create pieces of outstanding quality and beauty.
Rosendahl and Lin Utzon have introduced a new range of vases, bowls and votive candle-holders in colours that are a salute to nature.
The gorgeous shapes and colours in the Confetti range have turned Lin Utzon’s hand-blown glass bowls, vases and votives into collector’s items.
In the new Confetti collection, the designer has toned down the bright colours and introduced some brand-new ones; including lime, white and transparent green in new combinations.
The saturation and clarity of these colours is tempered with a discreet, soft matt finish that doesn’t prevent the colours from working in their own right; they also put nature centre-stage when flowers and twigs are put in the vases.
Lin Utzon explains the working philosophy behind her new colours and colour blends “You have to co-operate with nature and not try to bring it to heel or dominate it. This is true even if you have to start with the mild form of violence that can be inherent in taking nature out of its genuine surroundings and bringing it indoors.”
Confetti bowl 18 cm £36.95
Confetti bowl 24 cm £54.95
Vase 16 cm £36.95
Votive 8 cm £16.95

Lalique has launched a new collection of glassware for Summer 2007, Bucolique, which embodies all the graceful accents found in nature.
Inspired by the Garden of Eden, the whimsical charm of the floral collection of crystal pieces delicately portrays natural purity and gracefulness.
Bucolique includes a collection of dazzling vases, bowls, perfume bottles, tumblers and candles in both clear and green; the two breathtaking new colours – Anise and Meadow Green are a refreshing step into the new season.
Details and prices are as follows:
Rosendahl is launching three new vases in their popular Filigran range designed by Lin Utzon, which are unlike anything she has ever created before.
Her hallmark has always been flowers and garlands intertwined in discreet or milky-white sand-blasted patterns.
However, these new hand-blown Filigran vases, have nothing “filigree” about them, as they have no pattern whatsoever and portray only simplicity itself, with elegant form and colour.
Lin Utzon’s latest artistry in glassware is in the darkest, deepest black, the most elegant imaginable ivory and the most exquisite shade of white; three classic illustrations of the assertion that “you’ll never believe how beautiful colours can be until you have seen them with your own eyes”.
