Brits can dine on home comforts for 17% less in the USA, but tucking into British nosh in France will cost you 133% more than at home.

British food is the third most missed home comfort, after the NHS and family Christmases, for Brits living abroad, but new research shows that the cost of eating nostalgically overseas, varies significantly depending on where you set up home.

The USA caters most for our tastes, offering British favourites such as baked beans, Heinz Tomato Ketchup and English tea bags, 17 per cent cheaper than at home; however, Brits settling closer to home in France, face a price hike of 133 per cent on home comforts.
