Since it was produced by the Reverend Awdry in 1945, the much loved blue steam engine with the famous number one, has been amusing continuous generations of children.
Thomas is now about to delight children at meal times, since Portmeirion is adorning gifts and tableware with a variety of characters, from the enormously popular book and TV programmes.
The Thomas and Friends collection will be on view at the international Spring Fair and launch in summer 2014
The collection will consist of a three piece set, mug, mug and snack plate, double handled mug, egg cup and soldier set and a money-box.
