New Fine Flavour Glassware from Villeroy & Boch
Thursday, July 15th, 2010
Villeroy & Boch’s new Fine Flavour glassware is a sophisticated masculine collection offering a selection of carafes, whisky glasses, tumblers and sleek shot glasses.
The collection ensures a connoisseur whisky experience with stylish and high quality gourmet glassware.
Fine Flavour takes inspiration from and enhances the enjoyment of the variety and complexity that speciality whiskies have to offer, with subtleties affecting the unique taste including ingredients, distilling processes, storage, and origin.
Fine Flavour is offered as two different lines, to acknowledge the varying celebration of whisky in both Europe and America, with the Scotch Whisky and American Bar ranges.
Both fuse high quality unpolished glass and refined shapes:
The Scotch Whisky line, intended for particularly fine whiskies, is a classic design with a variety of shapes and sizes.
- For single malts and single grains, a wide base and narrow mouth has been developed to ensure that the full whisky aroma can unfold perfectly.
- For blended scotch, a straight, cylindrical shape has been designed to strongly concentrate the aromas.
Pictured here are the Scotch Whisky Carafe No.1 £59.00 and Scotch Whisky Lowlands Whisky Tumbler £16.95.
The contemporary American Bar includes tall shapes that flair out at the mouth of the glass, making it easier to add ice cubes, or for making long drinks or cocktails.
- With a nod to American tastes, all six glasses are slightly larger than the Scotch Whisky line.
- American Bar Straight Bourbon Shot Tumbler £18.50.
Fine Flavour looks fantastic displayed in a study, or enjoyed when entertaining at home and will delight whisky connoisseurs everywhere, by satisfying the demand for fine glassware.
