Special Edition Tea Service To Commemorate The Queen’s Coronation Launched.

Herend Special Edition Coronation Tea SetEver since Queen Victoria found Herend’s excellent hand painted porcelain in 1851, at the London Great Exhibition, the company has enjoyed an association with the British Royal family.

Most recently, the Royal family including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, have enjoyed several tea and dinner and services, over and above Herend’s admirable animal figurines.

Edged in gold, a magnificent unique tea service has been created to commemorate the Queen’s 60th anniversary of her Coronation on June 2nd 2013.

Herend has produced the Apponyi design in purple, inspired by the purple velvet material used in the top of the majestic State Crown, as well as the flowers that decorated the silk dress the Queen wore in 1953 at her Coronation.

The special Herend tea service includes:

The teapot with a magnificent crown is priced at £160, teacup and saucer £90, a plate £53 (not pictured), creamer priced at £52 and sugar bowl at £60.

Also available is a hand painted Coronation Special Edition Clock at £90.

The special commemorative tea service is now available online, exclusively from Herend Porcelain, or at their store in Walton Street, London.
