The White Fluted Signature series of tableware from Royal Copenhagen is a new service based on an absolute classic.
The shiny white background highlights the familiar blues and greens of the Royal Copenhagen back stamp, which can be seen on the bottom of every piece of porcelain from the factory.
Â
The back stamp is interesting in its own right:Â
The crown shows the association with the Royal Family and the close links that were forged when Queen Juliane Marie was instrumental in founding the Royal Danish Porcelain Manufactory in 1775.
Â
Below the crown are the three wavy lines that symbolise the three waterways: the Great Belt, the Little Belt and the Øresund.
The last section of the decoration is the item number of the article, which indicates its size, form and use for registration in a system that has been meticulously built up and extended through the centuries.
Â
The White Fluted Signature series consist of four pieces: plates in two sizes, a cup with a high handle and a mug with a handle.
Â
Prices are as follows:
          A pair of Mugs £41.50
Breakfast cup with High handle and saucer £31.50
         22cm plate £24.00
         27cm plate 25.40
