The French crystal house Lalique has commissioned world-famous designer, Javier Mariscal to design an exclusive range of special crystal pieces to celebrate the world famous 32nd ‘America’s Cup’ boat race, which has returned to Europe for the first time in over 150 years.
It is the first time Europe has been granted permission to hold the event off mainland Europe in the Cup’s 152-year history, after Switzerland’s stunning triumphant win in 2003.
Valencia, Spain was declared as the host city for the 32nd ‘America’s Cup’ due to its reliable weather patterns and tourism infrastructure.
The four crystal pieces include a spectacular vase, sculpture, tumbler and fish-shaped paperweight that reflect the speed of sailing boats, foaming waves and light on the Mediterranean Sea.
