Elica Launches Fantasia – An Award Winning Vertical Hood
Elica the Italian designer cooker hood maker has launched Fantasia, a new vertical cooker hood, which has received the celebrated Red Dot Design Award 2013.
Fantasia’s supremacy lies in the design’s simplicity: Appropriate for rear or top recycling, or ducting in the kitchen, it consists of a single panel, which hides all of the pioneering airflow system that expands along the whole edge of the appliance. The air cavities in the front panel capture the air from across the whole surface, The new Fantasia cooker hood is available finished in white or black glass and silestone quartz. This high performance hood includes both charcoal and grease filter units and can remove air at rates upto 610m3 per hour. The Infra Red touch control panel and LED lighting provide convenience, whilst also giving a striking visual impression.
The Red Dot Award makes Fantasia a third time award winner, having already triumphed in the 2013 Good Design and iF Design Awards, confirming Elica’s attention to detail in both build quality and product design.

Roundhouse Adds A Hidden Built-In Drinks Cabinet To Its Metro Kitchen
Roundhouse have introduced a stylish new built-in Drinks Cabinet, (now on show at their Guilford showroom) that can be creatively hidden behind the glossy polished façade of their Roundhouse Metro kitchen, providing an innovative use of space.
When exposed the cabinet becomes an element of a brilliantly designed dining or kitchen area: Placed adjacent to a high wine cooler, the cabinet’s interior is made of cherry wood and comprises of a Carrara marble worktop and sink with a stylish Carrara marble splash-back. The wine glasses are accommodated on glass shelves and positioned above is a wooden wine rack in solid cherry. The inside of the cupboard and cherry drawers have a striking hammered silver surface, which is part of a new metallic range created with metal powder and exclusive to Roundhouse. The ergonomically designed front doors employ a system that permits them to rotate and glide back out of sight, whilst the wine rack door above rises up out of the way allowing an easy way in to the wine.

Grenadier have announced the launch of their new Earthfire Ceramic Pizza Oven – a modern-day, handmade outdoor oven with oak handles and a hard-wearing glazed finish that will cook faultless pizzas.
Prepared from an exclusive ceramic substance, the Earthfire oven can achieve temperatures over 350 C, necessary to bake pizza and impossible to attain in traditional ovens.
The oven heats up in around 30 minutes and will supply 2 hours of cooking time without refill – making al fresco entertaining trouble free this summer.
