Intelligent Furniture has launched a new range of standard Powerdesks, which offer a real solution to the problem of the large PC tower case with trailing wires – by hiding these inside the desk and placing the world’s first true remote control for a PC, in the desktop within easy reach.
This creates an aesthetic, ergonomic, clutter-free, theft-proof computing and multimedia environment.
Powerdesks are fitted with Freemote; a remote control for a PC, a slim unit, which duplicates all the controls needed to operate the PC; the unit sits in the desktop, enabling the PC and all its cables to be hidden away, within the dead space of the desk.
Intelligent Furniture’s range of Powerdesks use regular Dell PCs, which come with Dell’s 3year onsite warranty, though any modern PC can be used.
Freemote connects to the PC by 2 cables, so it’s very easy to install, or change/upgrade the PC.
Customers’ own PCs can be fitted provided they are under 3 years old, have a spare PCI slot and fit in the allocated space within the desk.
Powerful home-theatre sound systems are also built in, enabling the user to listen to music or watch TV/DVDs.
