Craven Dunnill’s new Nuvole range of wall and floor tiles featuring photographic picture tiles in a choice of flowers, reflects a 2007 trend towards bold, colourful statements in homes, with tiles as the main feature in kitchens and bathrooms.

When used in a repeating floor-to-ceiling panel, the large vibrant coloured flowers create a dramatic focal point to a room; the intense colours are repeated in plain, coordinating wall tiles, featuring a subtle cloud effect.

The Metope large format tiles are designed for use on both floors and walls, supplied in subtle stone-look colours of beige or off-white.

They give an impression of boundary-free spaciousness, while accents and definition are created in the room using the contemporary styled mosaics and listellos.

The Metope range made from glazed porcelain, which is suitable for use inside or out is available in two colours bianco and beige and in two finishes, natural and lappato (honed), the latter giving a smooth sheen.

Founded in 1982, Paris Ceramics was originally known for the antique terracotta and native stone floors reclaimed from all over the world.

These days, especially with the re-opening of its London showroom, it is now known for much more.

It continues to reclaim antique floors, but it also offers new floors, plain or distressed, in a range of materials, including terracottas, marbles and many different types of limestone.

Another speciality of Paris Ceramics is the creation of mosaics made from tiny pieces of hand sawn stone and marble, using only naturally occuring colours (see mother of pearl mosaic for walls above).
