If you spend your life wishing everything could go just that bit quicker, then induction cooking is for you; 40% faster than gas and 20% more efficient than a ceramic hob, induction is set to be the must-have feature, especially now range cooker specialist Britannia has added cutting edge technology to three of its most stylish designs.
The new Sigma, Dynasty and Classic 100cm range cookers, offer the convenience of induction cooking alongside high impact and sleek styling.
Induction hobs are activated only when a ferrous metal-based pan comes into contact with one of the induction zones, which makes the cooking process more efficient and means that once the pan is removed the hob cannot be accidentally left on.
Offering six induction zones and nine power levels per zone, Britannia’s induction hotplate will allow you to control the heat more precisely, which is perfect if you’re creating a very delicate sauce or melting chocolate; while the child lock facility and the residual heat indicators are helpful safety features.
Other features include a nine function oven, a four function oven with rotisserie, stay clean liners, a minute minder programmer and Britannia’s unique Quickstart function which sees the oven go from 0 – 200°C in just six minutes.
Those buying one of the new range cookers before 30 April 2009, will receive a free four- piece set from Le Creuset worth £225, comprising 16cm and 18cm saucepans, a 24cm non-stick frying pan and a casserole dish.
The 100cm model with twin oven will retail at £4,349, while the XG version with separate grill compartment will cost £4,789.
