The design company Menu has once again presented an innovative new tableware product that will certainly be noticed at lunch and dinner tables.
In all honesty, salt and pepper shakers are not typically the most lively part of an otherwise well designed table setting, but the new Boogie Woogie shakers have the potential to bring out smiles!
Menu has added wheels to the Salt and Pepper shakers, so it just requires a small push to roll across the table.
The Boogie Woogie is formed as a small, classical tumbler in aluminium, with an attractive anodised surface.
But the pure and simple design is combined with a healthy dose of humour in the form of two large, black (white for salt) synthetic wheels so that the shaker can roll around on the table and add spice to both the food and your mood.
With its heavy but stylish tumbler body and large wheels, Boogie Woogie looks like a small, jaunty robot.
Children are usually told that they mustn’t play with their food, but even adults might want to play, when they see Boogie Woogie – the small shakers practically beg to be rolled around on the table. That’s certainly something new!
The Boogie Woogie salt and pepper shakers are designed for Menu by Murken Hansen, the design team from Berlin.
Retail price is £16.95 each. A small price for a lot of fun!
