It’s called “Passion Flower” and is designed by the celebrity home designer Linda Barker. It is available in different colourways including pink (pictured) and blue.

Martin Ephson, Director of specialist paint manufacturers Farrow & Ball has been speaking about the trends in paint and wallpaper that he predicts will be fashionable in 2006:

“For spring and summer ‘06 we will see the return of yellows, fine shades like ‘Dayroom Yellow’ and ‘Hound Lemon’ rather than the ever popular but strong ‘Sudbury Yellow’. Also pink, but again, fine colours such as ‘Pink Ground’. ‘Calamine’ and ‘Setting Plaster’. Witness a big return to grey whites, in particular ‘Clunch’, ‘Slipper Satin’ and ‘Off-White’.

Large pattern repeat papers in dramatic colourways will find their way from ‘accent’ walls into small spaces such as guest loos. These will have a spectacular dramatic effect. Also exquisitely printed, simple one and two colour papers in the popular paint and high fashion colours mentioned above. Look out too for metallics which can be found in F&B’s ‘Vermicelli’ papers.”

If you think a paint brush is just a paint brush, it’s time to think again - Anza have just launched a new range of paint brushes with several features that make them unique:

Unlike most domestic paint brushes, these are round, like an artist’s brush. The round brushes are especially suited to shaped profiles and edging work, such as skirting, banisters and pipes - as they follow the profile being painted, rather than splitting like a flat brush.

Anza claim that the long bristles allow the brush to hold 25% more paint per dip in the can - which should result in faster decorating.

Painting has to stop occasionally, if only for coffee - and you’ll see from the photo that each brush includes an integral brush rest - so you can hang the brushes from the tin, or stand them on a flat surface. They also boast soft-feel ergonomic handles for those long decorating sessions.
