The example featured, is a bespoke bedroom furniture room set, which includes the Empress Josephine bed and coronet in solid rosewood, highlighted in gold leaf with an imitation gilt and ivory painted finish.

The original bed was made for The Empress Josephine in 1810, probably to the design of Percier and Fontaine in the workshops of Jacob Desmalter et Cie.
