Ochre & Ocre Icons By Jo Verity

Ochre & Ocre Icons By Jo Verity Ochre & Ocre is launching its new Icons Collection this May; a range of unique pieces exclusively designed and individually made by UK craftspeople. Each piece is a unique modern heirloom that is designed to last.

The Jo Verity Collection:

Ochre & Ocre have teamed up with the very talented jeweller, Jo Verity, to produce a gorgeous new range of napkin rings that complement the Ochre & Ocre table linens.
Jo has designed and made the napkin rings using her unique paper beads, which she makes individually by hand.

Paper bead rolling was a traditional craft, which was popular at the turn of the 19th century. Victorian ladies used scraps of wall paper to hand roll beads, which they then strung to form room dividers.

Today, Jo uses speciality origami and hand printed papers, which she combines with semi precious stones, glass beads and silver; as they are all individually made each piece is unique.

Colour is a strong part of all Jo’s designs, making her work ideal to team with the Ochre earthy shades; the inspiration for her designs comes from a variety of sources, including historical and eastern influences.

Jo said of her technique, “By using hand rolled beads to create my pieces, I feel that I am helping to preserve a small piece of our rich cultural past, by giving Victorian craft a modern twist”.

These unique napkin rings will be the perfect conversation piece at any dinner party and will harmonise perfectly with any of the Ochre colours.
Priced at £28 for a set of 2.
