Painted Palette Perfection For English Revival
In-frame has never been so diverse. With a beautiful palette of painted pastel colours, natural oak and a primed ready to paint option, Mereway Kitchens allows designers to display their creative flair, with this spectacular timber product: Drawing from the success of the Lincoln Shaker range, the new In-frame collection follows suit, with painted ash doors in elegant colours. Spring White, Fennel Green, Pebble Blue, Chalk White and Willow Green, and the ready to paint option, offers customers the versatility to paint their kitchens in any hue to achieve the look they want. The In-frame shaker door itself comprises a frame with beaded profile and 78mm stiles and rails for a more delicate look. The clever selection of cabinets and finishes available means In-Frame can be toned towards traditional or contemporary, country or minimalist. Selected painted shades can complement or contrast each other, with the use of blocks of colour to draw focus to various ‘zones’ around the kitchen. Zoning is the perfect way to plan out a kitchen space, as it groups together core elements (cooking, washing, cooling etc) and can bring symmetry with a sense of balance to the kitchen.
“Choosing painted finishes on feature units from the English Revival Shaker collection, is the ideal way to separate your kitchen design out from the rest,” comments Ginette Crowther, Marketing Manager for Mereway Kitchens.
“Painted finishes work perfectly for peninsula and feature end units, as you can create a truly individual, focal piece in any kitchen space, and combined with smooth curves on base and wall units, you can achieve an ergonomic look that can be traditional or contemporary.”

Leicht Launches Versatile Budget Kitchens
Leading German kitchen designer and manufacturer Leicht, has introduced a new range of budget kitchens, called Kanto, to enable customers to have all the style and quality of an upmarket, contemporary kitchen at a competitive price: Kanto kitchens use the side panels as the basic planning principle of the kitchen, and from there build a modular kitchen that would fit in any home. Available in a range of neutral colours Kanto is highly versatile, with a huge range of wall, floor and shelf units, with matching worktops. By combining sliding doors with conventional opening units and handle-less drawers and cupboards, with sleek long handles and open shelving with closed cupboards, means that a sophisticated look can be created at a budget price. For the more discerning, there are many drawer and cupboard inserts available to provide excellent storage. Design of the Kanto range is understated, but with the huge number of versatile doors and drawers it looks like a very stylish kitchen. Simple LED lights on the wall units provide illumination to the worktops.
Graham Hopper, Leicht UK Sales Director says: “In this current economic climate it was essential to introduce a really competitively priced kitchen, which still retained contemporary style and extensive design features.
Kanto is exactly this and by using a simple layout an effective, practical kitchen can be achieved, at a fraction of the price of other similar kitchens.”
Kanto kitchens retail between £8-15,000 and are available throughout the UK at showrooms that display Leicht kitchens.

Ikea’s Kitchen Trend Update for Autumn Winter
Swedish interior designer Mikael Berryman has worked for IKEA since 1998, completing stints in Sweden, New York, China and Russia.
He is now IKEA UK & Ireland’s interior design expert. This season IKEA is launching three new stylish and on-trend kitchen ranges.
Here he gives us his insider tips as to the kitchen trends for Autumn/Winter:
“If you want to vary the style in your kitchen and use colour combinations to create a contrast, then the new RUBRIK turquoise glass accent doors and drawer fronts are the perfect addition to inject exciting colour and materials into the room.
Combine them in any way you like – it’s a simple way to create a kitchen with originality that expresses your personality. Turquoise is a colour that most people respond to positively.
It’s universally flattering and appeals to both men and women.â€
Featured here is the RAMSJÖ white with FAKTUM frame-kitchen.
Priced at: £3575.00.
“Light pink is a shade not often used in kitchen design. But the cool tones of the new APPLAD pink doors and drawer fronts make for a very subtle use of a colour.
It goes well with high-gloss or matt white finishes, such as the ABSTRAKT high-gloss white kitchen range, but also well with darker tones because the classic nature of the colour.
The colour can be seen coming through in everything from fashion to interiors this season, so why not impress your friends with this on-trend style.â€
“Finally, in our more traditional style group, we see the launch of the RAMSJO range, available in white and black finishes. Having listened to our customers’ feedback, we developed a traditional looking Swedish kitchen, which was also suited to UK and Irish customers. On the traditional front, it’s a breath of fresh air because it’s simple and
classic without being fussy.â€
Top tip:
Don’t forget – IKEA kitchens are easy to update by simply replacing doors and drawer fronts.
With the RUBRIK and APPLAD ranges, you can think about changing the style of your kitchen , without replacing the whole thing and having to spend a fortune.
