A cooker hood, an extractor hood, call it what you like – but it’s an essential piece of equipment to keep your house free of cooking smells and your kitchen free of grease.
The problem is – if you’ve decided to have your hob on an island, you could be out of luck. Cooker hoods and islands just don’t mix that well. It’s often very difficult to fit a cooker hood above an island – and just about impossible to make it look good.
Fortunately, Gaggenau have come up with a solution to the problem with their ventilation table. The ventilation table is designed to be installed on the island worktop, and in recirculation mode it offers low noise and efficiency at extracting unwanted cooking smells.
The Gaggenau AT 400 ventilation table costs from £2,500. It will be available exclusively from Gaggenau studios from January 2006.
