Oliver Heath Launches New ‘Eco Chic’ Natural Paints
Oliver Heath has launched a new range of natural paints called Eco Chic in conjunction with earthBorn paints. Oliver first came to the public’s attention in 1998 as BBC Homefront’s young designer of the year.
Â
earthBorn is passionate about the health and well being of its customers and it was for this reason that Oliver was attracted to collaborate with the brand; earthBorn Claypaint is still the only UK paint brand licensed to carry the EU Ecolabel and is VOC free.
Oliver’s new range includes colours such as ‘Muddy Boots’, ‘Wool Blanket’ and ‘Tree House’, which reflect the design ethos behind the collection. “I have created a collection of seven colours that have been totally inspired by nature, yet blended for living; the tonal pairs of muted colours work beautifully together around different areas and rooms.
Oliver says, “I wanted to develop my own range of natural paints as I am enthusiastic about reducing the number of chemicals that surround us in the home.â€
Be Inspired By Paint & Paper Library’s Workshops
In February 2007 Paint and Paper Library, the leading UK interior decoration company, announced the start of weekly colour workshops to be held in their Chelsea Harbour showroom.
These workshops have evolved out of the popular ‘colour consultation’ service currently offered by the Paint Library’s team, (see our previous article).
The company admits that achieving aesthetically pleasing results can be a daunting task, as there are no absolutes in colour and a multitude of conditions can affect the finished project.Â
Paint and Paper Library Launch An Exterior Eggshell
Paint and Paper Library, the leading interiors company specialising in the design and supply of inspirational paints and wallpapers, is delighted to add a new exterior eggshell to its paint range.Â
Launching in Spring 2007, this durable new oil based paint is suitable for exterior wood and joinery, drying to a porcelain finish with a subtle sheen.
The new exterior eggshell collection will be available in all of the Paint Library’s existing colour options, including the architectural palette.
The Paint & Paper Library’s Consultation Service
Colour is one of the most difficult aspects of interior decorating to get right, because it has as much to do with light as pigments, and neither is constant.
“Paint is usually the cheapest element of any design scheme,” says David Oliver owner of Paint & Paper library, “But it’s the easiest to get wrong!”
“It’s hard to make the imaginative leap from a tiny colour swatch to a large area; People are afraid — not only of wasting money, but of the sheer inconvenience of having to re-do a room.”
