Luxury bathroom and kitchen retailer, Urban Interiors , has announced the much-anticipated arrival of ‘S1’, the latest high-tech kitchen design from leading German manufacturer SieMatic.
Designed with the trend for combined cooking and social interests in mind, the ‘S1’ kitchen creates the perfect living environment within the contemporary domestic kitchen.
Using the most advanced technology, ‘S1’ uses a unique ‘Smart Board’ device to control a complete multimedia system, giving the user total control.
Located beneath the wall cabinets, the ‘Smart Board’ contains touch controls that operate all electronic gadgets within the kitchen, including the extractor hood and a 17 inch flat screen LCD TV,  built into the glass back splash.
Additionally, the controls offer both internal and external temperature readings, as well as an advanced lighting system.
The bright light option is ideal for food preparation tasks, whilst the ‘deep purple’ option from the chromo-therapy light system, could be used to set the mood at a dinner party.
Entirely versatile, the lights can be set to gradually rotate, Â or remain on a particular desired colour.
Cleverly, the iPod docking system also controlled via the ‘SmartBoard’, allows homeowners to play their favourite music through an integrated speaker system.
Fundamental to the design of ‘S1’ is its ‘MaticMotion’ drawer release, colour coded and hidden from sight, the‘MaticMotion’ mechanism unlocks a multitude of internal storage.
Customers can also add a computer with Internet and email, as an extra that can be incorporated into the LCD TV.
The S1 kitchen is available in a Truffle Grey gloss lacquer finish, or two wood tones (Velvet Oak and Sukupira Graphite) and Lotus White matt lacquer.
The kitchen retails from around £100,000 and a bespoke service is offered, to adhere to the needs of each individual customer.
