\nDanish artist Allan Therkelsen created the Motherly Love series in 2002, taking his inspiration from animals of the cold regions of Northern Scandinavia.<\/p>\n

Allan says, \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcI have used porcelain as the best material to express the animals\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 concern for each other, their playfulness and the slightly wispy look they sometimes have.\u00e2\u20ac\u2122

\nThese animals live in conditions that test their survival instincts to the full. A cub or pup on its own is easy prey, so the mother\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s protection is all-important in its early life.<\/p>\n

Polar foxes are faithful to the same mate and live together for years. Both parents help to look after their cubs.<\/p>\n
