An innovative new door security product, the Digital Door Viewer by demista\u00e2\u201e\u00a2, has been launched to allow anyone inside a house, hotel room or business premises, to see who is outside by using this self-contained, electronic video system, requiring no wiring, fitted to the outside door.<\/p>\n
The door viewer is easily and quickly installed to new or existing doors and requires no external wiring or electrical connections.<\/p>\n
The battery-operated device works by a simple push button to show a clear, expanded view outside; the digital camera inside the viewer operates via a 14 mm diameter hole in the door, positioned at a comfortable eye level; from the outside it looks similar to the conventional \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcspy-hole\u00e2\u20ac\u2122.<\/p>\n

The Police recommendation on their official website advises, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153If you don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have a window in your door, or some other way of checking who is calling, fit a door viewer, so that you can identify callers before opening the door\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/p>\n
The Digital Door Viewer takes this further by replacing the limited image seen through a conventional \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcspy-hole\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, with a wide, full-colour, high quality LCD display.<\/p>\n
The DDV measures 140mm high by 216mm wide and 25mm deep within a neat silver tone frame; total measurements of the display are 82mm high by 109mm wide.<\/p>\n
The units come with mounting screws and require eight AA batteries.
