The Limoges From Chesney’s “En Trumeau” Collection

The Limoges From Chesney’s “En Trumeau” Collection The magnificent Limoges chimneypiece is part of Chesney’s new En Trumeau Collection:

With an impressive overmantel, this stone fireplace is eminently majestic, yet retains an exquisite elegance thanks to its fine, hand-carved detail and its graceful central cavetto.

The French Cheminée en Trumeau could undoubtedly be the architectural centre-piece of any room and can be tailored to the necessary scale.

This style was widely used in both France and England during the 18th century and is the French equivalent of the English “continued” chimneypiece, where the decorative panel sits on top of the mantelpiece.

The Limoges, shown here in Bianco Avorio Limestone, is a beautiful example of an En Trumeau Chemińee from the reign of Louis XIII, incorporating a bolection moulding framing the fire chamber and an oval medallion flanked by ionic pilasters within the overmantel.
Dimensions to order. Priced from £5,800.
