It was created in what was named the Golden Age of porcelain, and yet it is still considered one of the world’s most luxurious tableware services today.<\/p>\n
The service gets its inspiration from the botanical work “Flora Danica” which was published between 1761 and 1883. The decorations on the service are based on the 3240 coloured copper prints in the 51 volumes of this beautiful work. <\/p>\n
The service is hand-moulded and hand-painted today using the same methods as those used by the 18th century craftsmen from the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Manufactory when production of the service began in 1790.<\/p>\n
