In an extension to its product collection, Brabantia has introduced an all-new Knife block, to complement its line-up of kitchen knives.
The Knife block has been specially designed to store Brabantia’s five-piece knife set, including the sharpening steel, in a compact and secure way, and to suit either a classic or modern-look kitchen.
Whereas most traditional knife blocks are static and follow the same basic design, this new product from Brabantia is made from sustainably sourced Ash, and boasts a more contemporary design with beautifully engineered vertical side slots, each dedicated to a specific item.
The space efficient shape is made even more useful by being mounted on a smart, stainless steel base, so the block rotates smoothly to ensure the right knife falls readily to hand, and is easy to remove.
For added safety in the kitchen, a rim around the edge prevents knives from sliding out accidentally, and the 18/8 stainless steel base sits on non-slip silicon feet for stability, while also preventing damage to the work top.
Made from ice hardened high carbon Molybdenum Vanadium steel, the blades stay sharp for longer, are scratchproof and offer a better corrosion resistance.
The seamless grip is made of matt brushed steel and solid black plastic, so the knives are also easy to clean and hygienic to use.
Prices for the new five-item set start at around £12.70 for a fruit/utility knife; all knives are packaged and sold separately and come with a 10-year guarantee.
The Knife block costs from around £37, and comes with a 5-year guarantee.
