Style In Living Spaces With bulthaup b3 Monoblock

Friday, June 29th, 2007

bulthaup, renowned for its innovative leadership in modern kitchen design, has become a pioneer in the industry for minimalist kitchens.

With the development of the bulthaup b3 monoblock, the company has laid a further milestone in the evolution of sculptural kitchen architecture.

The seamless stainless steel body represents the logical continuation of bulthaup b3’s minimalist design; the precise, high-quality finish and the lack of joints between the rear panel, side panels and worktop give the design a particularly purist appearance.

The b3 monoblock is solely a one-off item and is planned and manufactured exclusively in line with your specifications:

The dimensions, front materials and base unit elements can be selected at will, while functions such as hobs and water points can be integrated in line with your requirements.

Fronts in stainless steel with the handle-free look, round off the sculptured unit, or you can create dynamic contrasts in other bulthaup b3 surfaces such as wood, varnish, or laminate.

The monoblock can be planned as an island, with or without rear panel, as a peninsula or in front of a wall, depending on the architectural situation.

Monday, May 21st, 2007

Chalon Announces The Relaunch Of Their Website Chalon UK Ltd, a UK market leader in handmade freestanding kitchen furniture, has relaunched their website, which has been re-structured as the first part of a three phase project, that will eventually see the company offering key furniture products for purchase online.

The aim of the initial improvement was to update the home page, making it more dynamic and user friendly and giving visitors greater incentive to return.

The new home page features an array of rotating product imagery, from the unique Chalon Original freestanding kitchen featured here, to the new Simply Chalon fitted range, plus the new bathroom range and the classical freestanding furniture collection.

The key kitchen case study pages have been updated with recent project imagery; however, probably the most substantial change concerns the Furniture section, which now provides for greater flexibility in terms of the products that can be searched for and displayed.

The broad range of products now displayed on the website will support the notion that “Chalon is more than just a kitchen company.”

bulthaup’s Brilliant b3 Floating Kitchen System

Wednesday, February 14th, 2007

bulthaup’s Brilliant b3 Floating Kitchen System bulthaup, founded in 1949, is now renowned for its innovative leadership in modern kitchen design, in which unnecessary decoration of any kind is avoided; coupled with its smart installation concept, the company has become a pioneer in the industry.

bulthaup believes that kitchens are living spaces where the most beautiful have a simple, tailored design,  perfectly equipped and inviting places, which offer endless hours of enjoyment.

Their innovative bulthaup b3 system offers a new design concept that allows the kitchen elements to float, using materials carefully - as thin as possible and as thick as necessary; the overall lightness of design demonstrates how effortlessly beauty can radiate from functionality.

The entire kitchen “floats” using a multi-functional supporting frame on the wall that can bear up to one ton in weight per meter.

It is a masterpiece of stability hidden from view when fitted with panels, shelves, units and appliances; this technology also enables water, power and gas connections to be concealed; this wall solution is ideal for architects and designers, providing them with an unprecedented level of freedom in the efficient use of space.

bulthaup observed that in the majority of kitchens people need to either bend down low or stretch up high to reach certain areas, resulting in the b3 system, where all areas that are very high up or very low down, no longer exist and the space in-between is used to the full.

The bulthaup b3 concept clearly illustrates how you can create a highly personalised superb kitchen in any given space.

Paul Hodgkiss Kitchens Feature Beautiful Wood

Tuesday, December 26th, 2006

Paul Hodgkiss Kitchens Inspired By The Beauty Of WoodPaul Hodgkiss Designs have been manufacturing unique quality furniture and interiors since 1986.

The quality of design and workmanship combined with the prominence of the natural features of beautiful wood, make a Paul Hodgkiss kitchen instantly recognisable.

The impressive kitchen pictured here is a fine example of his innovative designs.

Paul Hodgkiss kitchens are hand built from dramatically carved pieces of Scottish timber, which depict a preference for curves rather than straight lines and a celebration of the materials themselves as much as the finished object.

If an exciting designer crafted kitchen is on your wish list, Paul Hodgkiss offers you a choice from his established designs, or a bespoke kitchen tailored to your own ideas of art, function and practicality.

Paul is inspired by the natural beauty of wood - the organic shapes, curves and grain of the timber dictate his design; If there’s a knot or a hole in the timber he will find a way to incorporate it into his design.

The Renaissance Fitted Kitchen from CotteswoodCotteswood Of Oxfordshire, the makers of quality English kitchen furniture, have introduced Renaissance, a luxurious new design for the fitted kitchen.

The classical simplicity of the Renaissance, provides elegance to any setting, be it a period cottage or a contemporary apartment.

Alpha Kitchen Furniture from Clive Christian

Thursday, January 26th, 2006

Alpha Kitchen Furniture from Clive Christian

This is the Alpha range of Bespoke Kitchen Furniture from Clive Christian - and you can see why it’s already being called the “moonlight kitchen”.

The dramatic moonlight effect is created by bespoke blue LED lighting built in to the furniture - designed to be a permanent feature when daylight fades and electric light is too severe.

Alpha kitchen furniture is as luxurious as you would expect from Clive Christian, featuring walnut, platinum leaf marquetry, and recessed chrome handles throughout.

The large eccentric island unit is a particularly striking feature - raised off the floor with lighting underneath, it creates a dramatic “floating” effect. The hand carved corbelled legs with lion’s feet are finished in platinum leaf, and match the lion’s head marquetry on the end panels.

Clive Christian say that Alpha bespoke kitchen furniture was inspired by the decadent mood of Stanley Kubrick’s film Eyes Wide Shut. Love it or hate it, this ground-breaking new direction for Clive Christian certainly mirrors the dramatic visual impact of the film.
