The new ‘Grow With Me’ collection of bedroom furniture at Dreams, is sure to be very popular with parents for years to come, as its design and purpose can be changed as children grow and have different preferences.
Each piece in the range is styled to be attractive to toddlers, but can be easily altered into something a little ‘cooler’ as they grow up. Also the ‘Grow With Me’ range is robust and well constructed, since kids’ furniture has to be hard wearing.
For budding racing drivers…
If you have a car-mad boy, or a girl who prefers engines to fairy wings, the Cars ‘Grow With Me’ range should set their hearts racing.
- The Cars ‘Grow With Me’ single bed (£299) in our picture, features dynamic Disney Cars graphics on the printed headboard, which can be reversed to reveal a plain red headboard.
- What they are unlikely to grow out of, however, is the track perimeter which runs around the bed, and the ramp and parking lot built in at the foot end – all likely to see hours of fun with races for everything from cars to Lego figures to dinosaurs.
- The Disney Cars top plinth panel on the wardrobe (£289) can be rotated for a smart look, and the double hanging rail changed to a single rail for clothes for the growing child.
- And the Cars chest of drawers (£199) and bedside table (£59) have cool wheel-shaped handles and back panels that are easily reversible to reveal a plain red backboard, for a more sophisticated look as teenage years beckon.
Also available is the bed for little – and not-so-little – princesses.
- The Disney Princess ‘Grow With Me’ single bed (£299) comes complete with a printed fantasy castle headboard with toy storage. This can be removed and used as a free-standing dolls’ house and storage unit, leaving a smart white curved headboard, designed to appeal to older girls.
- The solid trundle bed underneath can be equipped with a mattress to become a pull-out spare bed for sleepovers, or provide invaluable storage for all those girly bits and pieces.
The new ‘Grow With Me’ range made its debut at Dreams’ new Milton Keynes bed superstore in mid-June, and will also be available on the website.
