Rainer Moll, the renowned German designer, has produced an innovative collection for Villeroy & Boch, designed specifically for those in the prime of their lives.
The needs of homeowners change with increasing age, however this does not mean that they must compromise on style; the Lifetime collection demonstrates clever use of product design to create solutions.
By incorporating grips that are not immediately apparent, experimenting with mobility and lowering unit heights, the bathroom has become more user friendly for those who may have mobility difficulties.
Pure ergonomics: The multifunctional character of many elements enhances comfort; the mobile trolley doubles as both vanity unit and bench, enabling the user to shave or put on make-up, while sitting comfortably.
The wash area becomes a cockpit – via the mobile trolley with castors that can be locked into position, the user has everything within easy reach, particularly the compartments, shelves and drawers of the rotating tall cabinet with its full-length mirror, or the compartments of the side cabinet.
Additional features include a bath equally suitable for bathing or showering, a washbasin with recessed grips, offering support whilst standing and a concealed overflow plus anti-splash rim to prevent water reaching the bathroom floor.
The WC provides extra comfort and support to the user and the toilet roll holder has an additional handle to assist movement.
All of the Lifetime furniture items feature pull-out elements, enabling the contents to be seen, removed and easily reached from either a standing or seated position.
The new Lifetime collection is available from a number of leading Villeroy & Boch stockists.
