Villeroy & Boch has launched the NewWave Caffé ‘Colours of Indonesia’, the latest limited edition collection in the ‘Colours of’ range.
The modern collection will be available during 2009 only and includes a selection of coffee cups and rectangular saucers, in four vibrant pattern options inspired by Indonesia’s colourful culture. Batik, in our picture, considered the national art of Indonesia, is a striking pattern, featuring a paisley and circular batik design in tones of rich vermilion reds, gold’s and turquoise. The delicate flower embellishment of Merah, is set against a strong red background making it a bold design. In contrast, the nature-inspired Bambu, features a fresh design of green and brown bamboo-style stripes. Indonesia’s culture has been expressed in the vivid Tanah pattern, depicting striking profiles of exotic Indonesian women, balanced by a light grey party plate.
